The Flavel is Dartmouth’s main arts centre, offering films, comedy, drama and regular live music, 20mins walk from the Pottery in the town centre. Music ranges from classical, through choral to folk and rock. Aside from offering fabulous breakfasts, Cafe Alfresco have regular music events, and regular performers on Sunday mornings. Another regular music venue is the Royal Castle Hotel by the harbour.
Totnes
Totnes must surely boast more buskers per metre than any town in the South West (apart from Glastonbury perhaps), but also has 2 very well run music venues, both at the top of the town. The Bay Horse Inn is a smaller, intimate venue with smaller bands, while The Barrel House has larger, louder events, and seems to bag more than its share of the big names as they tour.Kingsbridge
It’s a 25 minute drive from Dartmouth, but if you are exploring Kingsbridge anyway, you can find music regularly at The Creeks End Inn.Further afield
